Introducing Listing Videos

Your product photos. A short video made for your Etsy listing.

We've added a lot to What Sells Next over the last couple of weeks, with new ways to explore the market, research keywords and improve your listings. But we're especially pleased to introduce our new Listing Videos feature.

We know from personal experience that filming a good listing video can be surprisingly tricky. Keeping a steady hand while panning, finding the right light, or getting a phone camera to capture the detail can take far longer than you'd hoped.

That's why we've refined our AI workflow around an advanced video model to create short product videos specifically for Etsy listings. Start with your existing product photos and create a cinematic showcase, with smooth camera movement and a closer look at the details.

Keeping your product true to the original photos has been a priority throughout. We want the video to show what you actually sell, preserving its appearance and details without inventing features or misrepresenting it. That's why our recommended Product showcase mode focuses on the product and camera movement.

Etsy has previously said that shoppers are more likely to buy an item when its listing includes a video. Adding one can help turn interest into a sale, although results will vary from listing to listing.

We know AI-generated videos aren't for everyone. Video generation is expensive, so we've kept video credit purchases separate from the subscription fee. We didn't want to increase our base subscription price to cover video costs for people who might never use the feature.

Premium members still receive 60 video credits each paid subscription month, with extra credits available to buy when needed. You can also use Listing Videos with purchased credits without a subscription.

From product photos to a listing video

  1. Choose a product from your connected Etsy shop, or paste a listing link for photos you have permission to use.
  2. Choose 5, 7 or 10 seconds, then review your scene plan and credit cost.
  3. Generate your video, check the result and download it to add to your Etsy listing.

Start with the recommended Product showcase mode. As with any AI video, check that the result accurately represents your product before using it.

What we're exploring next

We're now investigating photo tools, including virtual try-on images that could present clothing on realistic catalogue-style models, as well as videos for social media posts. These are still being explored, alongside more improvements and new features across the site.

Thank you to everyone who has been part of this with us so far. Your support and feedback help shape what comes next.
